NCAA All American — NC State University
Adam began swimming when he was five with his summer league club, Bentwinds, in Fuquay-Varina where he began to develop his love for the sport. After moving to Cary when he was nine, he joined Dutchman Downs and also decided to start club swimming with the Marlins of Raleigh. Growing up an avid Wolfpack fan, his college choice was pretty easy, and he went on to represent the North Carolina State University Men’s Swim Team.
At NCSU, Adam helped the team to three straight ACC Championships as well as two fourth place finishes at the NCAA National Championships. He was a four time All-American holding the second fastest times in school history in the 1650 and 500 Freestyle. He also competed in the 2016 Olympic Trials placing 9th in the 1500 freestyle swimming a top 100 time in the world. While at NCSU, Adam stepped back into the summer swimming world, serving as head coach for the Hampton Ridge Swim Team also getting his first look at the Meet Central App.
Adam graduated in May of 2017 from NC State with a degree in Computer Science, and began an internship with HydroXphere for the summer combining his two passions: swimming and technology. After the summer, Adam decided to broaden his technology background and started working towards an Associate’s Degree in Computer Engineering. After his internship was over, Adam joined the HydroXphere team as a Project Manager to further enhance the Meet Central user experience for swim parents and volunteers nationwide.
